Study on thermal conductivity and electrophysical properties of solid solutions of the Sb2Tl3-Ga2Te3 system

  • 1. AN SSSR, Kazan. Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst.

Description

The temperature dependence of the electric conductivity, the Hall effect, mobility, thermo-electromotive force and the general heat conductivity of the Sb2Te3-Ga2Te3 system solid solutions in the 300-800 K temperature range has been researched. It has been established that at room temperature the heat conductivity of Sb2Te3 and solid solutions based on it is equally governed by the electronic and phonon contributions. In the region of high temperatures it is governed by the electronic component and the bipolar diffusion contribution. The increase in the Ga2Te3 content in solid solutions results in the reduction of electric conductivity and mobility and in the shift of the temperature intervals, at which the general heat conductivity lowers and the additional heat conductivity, caused by the bipolar diffusion manifests itself
