Description
The Chalk River helium-jet ion source has been upgraded to accommodate a helium transfer-gas flow of 6 std 1/m and operate at 2000deg C. It now provides yields exceeding 1000 atoms/s for short-lived isotopes of some refractory elements. (orig.)
