The role of antioxidants in cable insulation aging
Description
A comparison was made of the effect of various antioxidants and antioxidant concentrations in EPDM and XLPE materials used as insulation for electric cable in nuclear power plants on radiation aging at room temperature. Several of the antioxidants in EPDM performed well to 1.0 MGy. A XLPE material with Agerite MA also performed well to 1.0 MGy
