Gas detector with a μm size strips anode

Description

A flat electrode device for an ionizing radiation multidetector, particularly for an X-ray detector used in tomodensitometry, is presented. It consists of either two active electrodes of the same kind, or an anode-electrode and a cathode electrode, on opposite sides of a base plate. The device avoids problems linked to flatness and parallelism, and the base plate consists of at least two intermediate plates separated by a space containing at least layer of binding material. The device thus overcomes difficulties associated with thickness and the need to stop ionizing radiation from passing from one cell to another by traversing the base plate. Abstract (French)

Un dispositif d'electrodes planes pour multidetecteur de rayons ionisants, notamment pour multidetecteur de rayons X utilisable en tomodensitometre, est presente. Il comporte soit deux electrodes actives du meme type, soit une electrode-anode et une electrode-cathode, disposees sur les faces opposees d'une plaque support. Le dispositif evite les problemes de planeite et de parallelisme. La plaque support comporte au moins deux plaques intermediaires separees par un espace comportant au moins une couche de materiau de collage. Ainsi le dispositif surmonte les difficultes liees a l'epaisseur et a la necessite d'eviter qu'un rayon ionisant ne passe d'une cellule a l'autre en traversant la plaque support.
