On renormalizable two-dimensional sigma-models with dynamical charges

Description

a) The general conditions are stated under which a non-linear sigma-model in two dimensions has dynamical charges of the type found by Luescher and Pohlmeyer for the non-linear O(N)-model. b) The renormalization of a large class of sigma-models including CPsup(n)-models and chiral fields on Grassmann manifolds is discussed. Es werden die allgemeinen Bedingungen angegeben unter denen ein zweidimensionales nichtlineares sigma-Modell dynamische Ladungen von derselben Art besitzt, wie sie von Luscher und Pohlmeyer fuer das nichtlineare O(N)-Modell angegeben wurden. b) Die Renormierung einer grossen Klasse von sigma-Modellen einschliesslich des CPsup(n)-Modells und chiraler Felder auf Grassmann-schen Mannigfaltigkeiten wird diskutiert.
