New record for the Z machine of Sandia

The Z machine (particle beam fusion accelerator of the Sandia laboratories) has recently showed exceptional progress that make it the most powerful X rays producer for laboratories. The scientist reach the temperature of 1,8 million of degree in the target, with a 290 tW impulsion. A new project is developed: the conception and design of a new machine generation with upper performances, the X-1. They hope reach temperature more than 3 million degree.
