Description
With ECG-gated FLASH-sequences motion of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is demonstrated in axial slices of the cervical vertebral column. The course of the movement is dissolved by signal enhancement of flowing structures in magnitude images and by velocity-dependent phases. It is shown with both methods, that the oscillation of the CSF within the cardiac cycle is superimposed by a directed movement, with is cranial directed in the lateral cervical subarachnoidal spaces and caudal in the ventral subarachnoidal spaces. Abstract (German)
Es wird eine Methode zur Messung des Liquorflusses vorgestellt. Durch EKG-getriggerte FLASH-Sequenzen werden am Beispiel des zervikalen Spinalkanals die Liquorbewegungen in den Subarachnoidalraeumen nachgewiesen. Der Bewegungsablauf kann durch die Signalanhebung fliessender Strukturen in den Betragsbildern und durch die geschwindigkeitsabhaengigen Phasenwinkel in einzelne Komponenten aufgeloest werden. Es wird gezeigt, dass mit beiden Methoden neben der EKG-synchronen Pulsation des Liquors eine gerichtete Bewegung nachweisbar ist, die in den lateralen zervikalen Subarachnoidalraeumen nach kranial und ventral nach kaudal weist.
