Liquid Metal Fast Breeder Reactor program. Volume VII. Environmental statement

Comment letters number 39 through 66 on the LMFBR Program Draft Environmental Statement and the AEC's responses are presented. These comment letters were systematically and comprehensively analyzed in the preparation of the Final Environmental Statement to identify and categorize the points raised. This analysis served to identify ten major topics of concern. Further examination of each topic identified about a dozen major issues, which reappeared throughout most of the letters. The procedure followed in addressing the issues in the Final Statement has been to state the problem, express the AEC view, cite responsible opposing and/or supporting views, and arrive at a conclusion with the bases for that conclusion supported by the best available information. When views other than those of the AEC are cited, the name of the commenter or organization espousing those views is identified. (U.S.)
