Description

The investigation of neutral (μ,π) invariant masses (M/sub mupi/) from ν/sub μ/ interactions with nucleons and from the decay K/sub L/0→(μ,π,ν) has been continued. The phenomena which the author considers to be due to the decay of a short-lived neutral heavy lepton, M/sub mupi/( →(μ,π), of mass 0.429 +- 0.002 GeV are found again in new observations of ν/sub μ/ interactions. So also are phenomena which are attributed to the decay of a short-lived heavy muon, M/sub mugamma/(→(μ,γ), with a mass within +- 0.010 GeV of M/sub mupi/((0.429). Methods of analysis and searches for errors are described. The invariant-mass distributions from different experiments are compared
