Evaluation of a neutron detection system in a 60Co field of 107 R/h

  • 1. Oak Ridge National Lab., Tenn. (USA)

Description

A neutron detection system was evaluated for its gamma discrimination capability in gamma fields up to 107 R/h. The system proved successful in these tests and was able to discriminate against 107 R/h gamma field with <50% loss in relative neutron sensitivity.
