Nephrotoxicity of cisplatinum in man. A method for early detection

Description
Using a combined sup(99m)Tc-DTPA and 125I-orthoiodohippurate clearance technique, partly based on external detection with CdTe-detectors, it is possible to detect an acute nephrotoxic effect of cisplatinum on the tubules during hydrations and mannitol diuresis. Further studies will aim at refining and simplify this bedside method
