Bound colliding beam activities at BINP

Description
The concept of Round Colliding Beams (RCB) is formulated, their potential advantages over the flat colliding beams are discussed. Implementation of RCB in the Φ-Factory project is outlined. Experimental testing of RCB is envisaged in the planned upgrade of the existing VEPP-2M complex to the c.m. energy of 2000 MeV. The main design parameters and features of this new collider VEPP-2000 are reported. (author)
