Qualification of conditioning facilities
Description
The product control of radioactive waste packs is carried out by PKS/KFA Juelich by order of the PTB. In this connection, the control by means of qualification of the methods is preferred as a long-term solution as against random sample testing. The operation conditions for a certain combination of plant/method/type of waste are defined in such a way that the observance of the final disposal requirements is guaranteed by the observance of the operation requirements. For the product control and the qualification of methods, procedures which are summarized have been developed according to this definition. (orig./DG)

Die Produktkontrolle radioaktiver Abfallgebinde wird von PKS/KFA im Auftrag der PTB durchgefuehrt. Als langfristige Loesung wird hierbei die Kontrolle durch Qualifikation der Verfahren gegenueber der Stichprobenpruefung bevorzugt. Fuer eine bestimmte Kombination von Anlage/Verfahren/Abfallart werden Betriebsbedingungen so definiert, dass durch die Einhaltung der Betriebsbedingungen die Einhaltung der Endlagerungsbedingungen gewaehrleistet wird. Entsprechend dieser Definition ergeben sich fuer die Produktkontrolle und die Verfahrensqualifikation Ablaeufe, die zusammengefasst dargestellt sind. (orig./DG)Additional details
