Cascade leptonic decays of D and F mesons and possible restrictions on νsub(tau) mass

Description

It is shown that analysis of energy spectra of secondary leptons (electrons and muons) generated in cascade decays of D+- and F+- mesons, produced in e+e- annihilation, in the channels J+-(F+-) → tau+- + νsub(tau)(anti νsub(tau)), tau+- → l+- + νsub(l)(anti νsub(l))+anti νsub(tau)(νsub(tau)) enables one to decrease appreciably the upper bound for the tau-neutrino mass. The cascade decay of D meson is most appropriate for this purpose
