On the increase in the gain of induced radiation from an ondulator system
Description
A formular for the spectral distribution of intensity of radiation from a system of gap-separated ondulators (optical klystrons) is derived. It is found that the form of spontaneous radiation is changing, viz., it narrows if the gap between the ondulators increases. As the gain factor of the induced radiation depends on the derivative of the form of the line then, as shown in this paper, at least in the linear mode the gain factor may be increased by means of the ondulator system. 12 refs.; 2 figs
