A mundane mechanism of J/Ψ suppression

Description

It is pointed out that qualitative features of NA-38 data on J/Ψ suppression can be approximately described by a model in which J/Ψ is suppressed by dense hadron gas produced in ion-ion collision. Clear and unambiguous signatures of J/Ψ suppression by the quark gluon plasma consist in the presence of threshold effects and kinks in ET- and atomic number dependence of J/Ψ suppression
