Description
It is suggested that the difference between the experimental and theoretical values of the susceptibility critical exponent γ in the Heisenberg ferromagnet EuO may be related to corrections to scaling. By reanalyzing the data using estimates of the correction amplitudes based on the theory of Aharony and Ahlers, a significant improvement in the agreement between theory and experiment has been obtained. The apparent discrepancy between the value of γ obtained in neutron scattering and that in static experiments has also been found to be due mainly to the previous use of different fitting functions in data analysis
