Deformation of crystal lattice during B2-B19' martensitic transformation in Ni50Ti50-xZrx alloys

Description
Mechanical properties and martensitic transformation were investigated in Ni50Ti50-xZx alloys with X = 0; 1; 5; 10; 15; 20; 50. It is shown that martensitic transformation and transformation-induced shape memory effect exist in the range of Zr concentrations of 1 to 20 at.%. Temperature ranges of above-mentioned phenomena coincide and shift upward with enrichment of the alloys with zirconium. 66 refs.; 5 figs
