Kinetic equation for a subsystem interacting with a thermal reservoir in an inhomogeneous external field
Description
A closed equation is obtained for the Wigner function of a subsystem that is in an inhomogeneous external field and interacts with a thermal reservoir. The corrections (in the collision integral) to the Boltzmann equation for an electron interacting with phonons that are due to an inhomogeneous static electric field are found
