Description
The possibility of observing some unusual effects such as the EMC effect but for intermediate-energy meson-nucleus interactions is investigated. The discrepancy between the experimental and theoretical ratio R=σ(K+-12C)/6σ(K+-d) of the total cross sections is discussed within the Glauber multiple-scattering approach. Agreement with experimental data is not achieved upon introducing noneikonal corrections and relativistic K+-N amplitudes. Various recent attempts at removing this discrepancy by taking into account in-medium effects are discussed
