Differential identities and conservation laws in field theories

Description

It is shown that there is a fundamental relation between symmetrization of the energy-momentum tensor and the noncommutativity of components of the covariant derivative operator. A simple algebraic method is proposed to obtain the symmetric energy-momentum tensor
