Feasibility study of a commercial irradiation plant in Morocco

Creators

Description

On the basis of a market survey, Centre National de l'Energie, des Sciences et des Techniques Nucleaires carried out a feasibility study of a commercial irradiation facility, identified the principal products which will be retained for the industrial applications and evaluated the projection of their volumes for the next five years. The site implementation of the irradiation plant is defined according to the national nuclear regulation and respecting the end users requirements. The costs of the irradiation services and the transport have been discussed and accepted by the industrials. This study shows that all the conditions are regrouped now in Morocco to introduce the irradiation technology to the industrial scale
