Description

The purpose of this study was to determine the calibration factor for the solid state track detectors of different sensitivities. These detectors were placed in closed cups and calibrated, as well as the charcoal canister, in radon chamber at unmodified room atmosphere. The concentration of radon and its daughters was measured in charcoal canister by gamma spectrometry system with Ge and NaI detectors. After exposure, the dosemeters were processed under the usual conditions, and read by means of an optical microscope. The obtained results show that CR-39 is about three time more sensitive than LR-115 and twice more sensitive than CN-92. (author)
