One-photon annihilation of neutrons in a field of linearly-polarized plane wave
Creators
Description
The probability of one-photon annihilation of neutron-antineutron pair in the field of linearly polarized electromagnetic wave has been calculated. The process can be realized in principle in a wave of small (as compared with neutron mass) frequency at the expense of transfer of a great number of the photons to the wave. The power of currently used lasers is however so small that the probability is exponentially law. Under certain conditions stimulated increase of laser radiation at the expense of the mechanism considered is still possible
