Future developments of probabilistic structural reliability to meet the needs of risk analyses of nuclear power plants

Creators

  • 1. Bundesministerium des Innern, Bonn (Germany, F.R.)

Description

The methods of structural reliability, knowing their benefits and their limitations, will offer an increasingly important tool in order to make future quality decisions for nuclear safety more rational, objective and balanced. This might make them suitable for licensing and approval decisions of components and structures, offering an alternative to the presently used deterministic practice. (orig./RW)
