Recent results on scalar mesons
Description
Recent analyses of Jsup(PC) = 0++ mesons in the ππ, antiK K and πK channels are reviewed. These analyses point to the existence of a Q antiQ nonet in the mass range 1300-1600 MeV with fairly well established members, which we denote as epsilon(1425) and k(1450). Other S-wave effects, which we label by epsilon(800) and k(800), occur as backgrounds in ππ and Kπ scattering. The S*(980) effect is shown to be inconsistent with a normal width hadron, and is probably a bound state of the antiK K system
