Application of concentrated electron beams in extra vacuum technologies

Description

Results of first experimental investigation in the area of nitric oxides elimination from gas flow by application of concentrated e-beam are represented in this paper. The application of concentrated e-beams instead of distributed ones (injected through foil windows) for gas flows purification is caused by the possibility of development of high unit power accelerator (up to 1 MW) with relatively low accelerating voltage (200-350 kV). The M-2 facility parameters: electron energy - 100 keV, beam power - up to 2 kW - allows us to treat up to 0,05 m3/s of gas with radiation doses up to 100 kGy
