Description
The results are reported from the complex radioisotope, and radioimmunological investigation in 25 patients with data for primary and secondary hyperparathyroidism. Visualizing parathyroid glands is possible in the cases when their size is more than 2 cm and their weight is more than 2 g. The parallel estimation of the parahormone level makes it possible to establish changes in the functional condition of the parathyroid glands before their clinical manifestation. The method is of high significance in estimating the therapeutic behaviour and prognosis for the patient. (authors)
