Description
The work is aimed at formation of corrosion-resistann surface layers on Ti base by means of sequent implantation of Si-ions in titanium, and at studying the possibility of increasing protective action time of the layers obtained through their additional alloying with Pd-ions. It is shown that in case of titanium sequentially irradiated by Si and Pd protective effect of titanium is additionally strengthened by electrochemical protection of Ti by Pd in pores or places of corrosion damages of silicide implanted layer. Correspondingly passive state time of titanium irradiated by Si and Pd is by one order preater as by titanium irradiated with Si-ions alone and by two times longer as by titanium ion-alloyed with Pd
