Relativistic-string configurations quantizable without anomalies

In the phase space of a classical bosonic string, submanifolds on which the quantization is free from anomalies are found. Such submanifolds consist of string configurations possessing axial symmetry, and certain superpositions of them. 12 refs., 11 figs., 1 tab
