Description
Radioactive gas wastes are generated during reprocessing spent nuclear fuel. The treatment approach is different due to different radionuclides. In the paper the several advanced foreign treatment approaches of the main radionuclides of the radionuclides gas waste are described, including 85Kr, 3H, 129I, and 14C. The treatment approach of 85Kr and l29I are discussed in detail and main chemical safety problems are analyzed. Preventive measures, detection means, corrective measures are also discussed. The reference is offered to the design and accident analysis of nuclear fuel reprocessing plant. (authors)
