Characteristics of the cumulat;.ve γ-quanta in the πsup(-12)C interactions at 4 and 40 GeV/c

Description
Experimental data are presented on the multiplicity and inclusive spectra of γ quanta emitted under the angles THETAsub(e.s) > 90 deg in the π-12C interactions at 4 and 40 GeV/c. It is concluded on the basis of the analysis of the data obtained that the inclusive cross section for formation of the cumulative γ-quanta with pulses p sub(γ)>= 50 MeV/s remains the same with the primary energy increase by an order. Due to the fact that π deg-mesons are the main sources of γ-quanta the obtainded result means that attainment of the asymptotic regime during fragmentation of carbon nuclei 12C→π0 takes place already in the range of the primary energies E0<=4 GeV
