Description
A linear analysis approach for seismic response of retaining walls has been generalized by incorporating wall flexibility in a direct yet simple manner. The cantilever wall is treated as an Euler-Bernoulli beam connected to the soil backfill, modelled by a shear beam, through Winkler springs. The response is obtained by modal superposition. An example problem is presented
