Ionization and dissociation processes of cyclopentanone and its derivates in intense femtosecond laser fields

  • 1. Institute of Atomic and Molecular Physics, Jilin University, Changchun 130012 (China)

Description

The ionization and dissociation processes of cyclopentanone and its methyl-substituted derivates have been investigated by irradiating with a 90 fs, 788 nm laser field in the intensity ranging from 3 x 1013 to 4 x 1014W/cm2. The measured ionization rate of the molecules has been compared with different theoretical calculation and the results suggest a model calculation in the frame of generalized KFR theory. The importance of the cation absorption at laser wavelength is also recognized in the dissociation process.
