Description
A brief description is given of the sodium-cooled nuclear reactor and of problems arising when gas is entrained into the primary circuit. Places where gas entrainment may occur are identified; observations made on operational reactors are reported, and present trends relating to gas entrainment are discussed. An example is given of a solution proposed to reduce the amount of entrained gas; the development work and salient results are presented

On decrit rapidement un reacteur nucleaire refroidi au sodium et les inconvenients que peut presenter un entrainement de gaz dans le circuit primaire. On indique les endroits ou cet entrainement peut s'effectuer, les resultats observes sur des reacteurs en exploitation et l'evolution de la doctrine en matiere d'entrainement de gaz. On decrit a titre d'exemple une solution envisagee pour limiter le taux de gaz entraine et on indique les etudes entreprises pour qualifier la solution ainsi que les principaux resultats obtenusAdditional details
