Scaling behavior near threshold

It is pointed out that the requirement that the leading light-cone singularity be the most important, even at relatively small values of q² and ν (precocious asymptopia), leads to the introduction of a new scaling variable which is similar but not identical to the variable ω′=-q²(2ν+M²)⁻¹.
