The K-shell electron-capture probability Psub(K) in the decay of 139Ce
Description
The K-shell electron-capture probability Psub(K) for the electron capture of 139Ce has been measured using the coincidence method. The detectors used have been a NaJ(Tl)-detector with Be-window for the Lanthan-X-ray, a Ge(Li)- and a 76.2 mm diam. x 76.2 mm-NaJ(Tl)-detector for the 166 keV-γ-ray. The escape-effect of the Lanthan-X-ray in the NaJ(Tl)-detector was investigated. The experimental results are P(K)ωsub(K) = 0.726 +- 0.010 and P(K) = 0.801 +- 0.034 using ωsub(K) = 0.906 +- 0.026. Die K-Elektroneneinfangwahrscheinlichkeit Psub(K) fuer den Elektroneneinfang bei 139Ce wurde mit der Koinzidenzmethode gemessen. Die Detektoren waren fuer die Lanthan-Roentgenstrahlen ein NaJ(Tl) Detektor mit Be-Fenster, fuer die 166 keV γ Strahlen ein Ge(Li)- und ein 76,2 mm Durchm. x 76,2 mm NaJ(Tl) Detektor. Der Escope-Effekt der Lanthan-Roentgenstrahlen im NaJ(Tl) Detektor wurde untersucht. Die experimentellen Ergebnisse sind Psub(k)ωsup(K) = 0,726 +- 0,010 und Psub(K) = 0,801 +- 0,034 mit ωsub(K) = 0,906 +- 0,026. (orig.)Additional details
