Static and dynamical aspects of nuclear matter distribution: microscopic calculations and experimental data

During the past ten years, a large amount of experimental data has been accumulated which gives information with regard to the sizes of the nucleus and the distribution of nuclear matter. Some particularly relevant results are presented. From a theoretical point of view, the contribution of the microscopic models is shown and particularly the results obtained by Hartree-Fock (HF) and Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) methods using D1 effective interaction. The agreement with experimental data is fairly good, taking into account the absence of parameters, and the theoretical proton and neutron density distributions have been used with success in the optical model calculations. The limitations of static calculations are also shown making necessary to take into account the dynamical effects, especially in shape transition regions. The densities obtained by the HF + RPA and HFB + Bohr hamiltonian theories are presented and compared to the experimental results

Depuis une dizaine d'annees, un grand nombre de donnees experimentales a ete accumule donnant des informations sur la taille des noyaux et la distribution de matiere nucleaire. Quelques resultats particulierement significatifs sont presentes. Au point de vue theorique, l'apport des modeles microscopiques est expose et en particulier les resultats obtenus par les methodes Hartree-Fock (HF) et Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov (HFB) avec l'interaction effective D1. L'accord avec les donnees experimentales est assez remarquable compte tenu de l'absence de parametre, et les densites de protons et de neutrons theoriques ont ete utilisees avec succes dans les calculs de modele optique. Les limitations des calculs statiques sont aussi montrees rendant necessaire l'introduction des effets dynamiques, en particulier dans les regions de transitions de forme.
