Microscopic description of muonic conversion in magic nuclei
Description
The coefficients of internal conversion of nuclear #betta# rays on a muon and the conversion widths for the decay of 90Zr and 208Pb nuclei from certain collective states in the region of the giant multipole resonances to the ground state are calculated. The E0, E1, E2, E3, and E4 transitions are considered. The nuclear transition densities are computed in the RPA in the Hartree-Fock basis with Skyrme forces. The effect of the nuclear structure on the muon conversion coefficients (MCC) is considered. The results of the MCC calculation are compared with the calculations performed in certain often used models: the surface and volume transition current models, etc. The muon and electron conversion coefficients are compared
