Contemporary concepts of the spectrum of interplanetary plasma inhomogeneities
Description
A short review is presented of studying interplanetary plasma by the 'radioscopy' method, the development of this method and its results at different stages. The problem to receive main attention is the spectrum of inhomogeneities which is important for understanding physical processes occurring in a solar wind. For this purpose experimental data obtained by the method of 'flickers' are considered in detail. The theoretical consequences for two different models of inhomogeneity spectra are analysed. From this viewpoint the results of last experiments and the difficulties connected with the facts observed are discussed
