Description
The total spectra, ions neutrals, of 5.0 keV and 9.5 keV Ne+ ions backscattered from an ordered Cu3Au(100) surface were measured by the time-of-flight technique (LEIS-TOF). Good agreement between these results and computer simulations was obtained. From detailed analysis of the trajectories comprising the simulated spectra it is inferred that layers deeper than the first three contribute a secondary structure to the backscattered spectra.
