Description

The half-lives of ten gamma-ray-emitting radionuclides have been measured using a reentrant well (4πγ) ionization chamber measuring system to follow the gamma-ray output of sources. The half-lives determined were: 54Mn, 312.11 ± 0.05 d; 57Co, 271.68 ± 0.09 d; 59Fe, 44.472 ± 0.008 d; 88Y, 106.65 ± 0.13 d; 95Nb, 34.997 ± 0.006 d; 109Cd, 460.2 ± 0.2 d; 133Ba, 3848.9 ± 0.7 d; 134Cs, 754.5 ± 0.2 d; 144Ce, 286.14 ± 0.09 d; and 152Eu, 4948 ± 7 d. The quoted uncertainties combine components of Type A and Type B equivalent to one standard deviation. (orig.)
