Description
The wood and wood products energy use analysis in the State of Minas Gerais hints to the fact that to supply the great consumption of this energy source the wood stocks have been harvested in large quantities and in a predatory way. The remaining nature forests depletion together with a decreasing reforestation has been responsible for the unbalance between supply and demand, causing shortages in some regions. Based on this analysis, it was possible to identify some projects that could insure this energy source supply to the State. (author)
