Description
An experimental set-up for studying isotopic effects in reactions involving compounds which contain nitrogen and carbon in a gas discharge is described. The results are presented of preliminary experiments to separate the nitrogen and carbon isotopes in a (N2+O2) mixture, and in carbon monoxide in a glow discharge at room temperature and at liquid-nitrogen temperature.
