The economics of the fuel cycle (light water reactors)

Description

The economical characteristics of the fuel cycle (of light water reactors) as well as the definition and calculation method for the average updated cost of the kWh are recalled. The evolution followed by the unit prices of the different operations of the cycle, their total cost and the part taken by this cost in the overall cost of nuclear kWh are described. The effects on the cost of fuel of certain hypotheses, operating requirements and additional cost factors are considered

L'auteur rappelle les caracteristiques economiques du cycle de combustible de la filiere a eau ordinaire ainsi que la definition et le mode de calcul du cout moyen actualise du kWh. Il presente ensuite l'evolution des prix unitaires des differentes operations du cycle, leur cout total, et la part de ce cout dans le cout global du kWh nucleaire. Il examine enfin la sensibilitie du cout de combustible vis-a-vis de certaines hypotheses, les sujetions d'exploitation et les facteurs de surcout
