Study of the carboxylate complexing of Np(V) by solvent extraction with TTA and capriquat

Description
The synergistic solvent extraction system, Np(V)-TTA-Capriquat, was applied to determine the stability contants of complexes of NpO2+ ion with seven hydroxyacids and five polycarboxylic acids. Reasonable values were obtained, and it was confirmed that this solvent extraction system was effective in studying the Np(V) complexes with ligands which are reluctant to be extracted by Capriquat.
