Expressions for mean value, dispersion and distribution function asymmetry coefficient of charge induction process in ionization-type detectors with a homogeneous field are derived using a characteristic function formalism. The detectors can represent a semiconducting detector of superpure material, detector with p-i-n structure as well as an ionization chamber with liquid or gaseous working substance
