The unusual radio galaxy NGC 6240
Description
Radio and optical observations of the peculiar system NGC 6240 are described. The radio properties, together with characteristics of the disturbed morphology and the emission-line spectrum lead to the suggestion that we are witnessing the collision of gas-rich galaxies. (author)
