Description
This paper describes a clock-trigger module in the Time-of-Flight readout systems, which are applied in the COLTRIMS system in IMPCAS. This clock-trigger module is designed on 3U PXI module. With high precision crystal oscillator and clock distribution, the module offers clock signal to the Time-of-Flight readout electronics modules with low jitter less than 11 ps (RMS). Communicating with PC through PXI bus, PC controls and shields trigger signal by configuring the register in FPGA, and distributing the trigger signal to Time-of-Flight readout electronics modules by distribution chip and PXI star trigger buses.
