GOLEM: a versatile computer code for reactor neutronic calculation advances in qualification of the different modules
Description
The last 12 years studies about the CABRI, SCARABEE and PHEBUS projects are summarized. It describes the object and the genesis of the cores, the evolution of the core concept and the associated neutronic problems. The calculational scheme used is presented, together with its qualification. The formalism, and the qualification of the different modules of GOLEM are presented. COXYS: module of physical analysis in order to determine the best energetic and spatial mesh for the case of interest. GOLU.B: input data management module. VAREC: calculation module of perturbations due to materials enables to compute perturbed flux and reactivity variation. VARYX: calculation module of geometric perturbations. TRACASYN: module of 3D power shape calculation. Finally TRACASTORE: module of management and graphic exploitation of results. Then, one gives utilization directions for these different modules. Qualification results show that GOLEM is able to analyse the fine physics of many various cases, to calculate by perturbation effects greater than 5000 pcm, to rebuild perturbed flux with margins near 3% for difficult situations, like reactor voiding or spectral or spectral variation in a PWR. Furthermore, 3D hot spots are calculated within margins of a magnitude comparable to experimental ones

Les 12 annees ecoulees sur les projets CABRI, SCARABEE et PHEBUS sont resumees. On y trouve les buts et la genese des coeurs ainsi que les problemes neutroniques associes. Les schemas de calculs utilises et la qualification seront presentes. On presente le formalisme et la qualification des differents modules de GOLEM. COXYS: module d'analyse physique et de determination de maillage energetique et spatial optimum pour le cas traite. GOLU.B: module de gestion des donnees d'entrees. VAREC: module de calcul de perturbation affectant les materiaux qui permet de calculer les flux perturbes et la variation de reactivite. VARYX: module de calcul de perturbations geometriques. TRACASYN: module de calcul des distributions de puissance a trois dimensions. Enfin TRACASTORE: module de gestion et d'exploitation graphique des resultats. On presente ensuite les notices d'utilisation de ces differens modules. Les resultats de la qualification mettent en evidence que GOLEM est capable d'analyser la physique fine d'un tres grand nombre de cas tres differents, de calculer en perturbation des effets superieurs a 5000 pcm et de reconstruire des flux perturbes avec des ecarts de l'ordre de 3% pour des situations tres difficiles comme la vidange en eau d'un reacteur ou la variation de spectre dans un REP. De plus, les points chauds a 3D sont recalcules avec des incertitudes de l'ordre decelles couramment admises dans les mesures experimentalesFiles
